Bicchi coordinates the Soft Robotics for Human Cooperation and Rehabilitation Research Unit at the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia, focusing on developing advanced robotic systems that enhance human capabilities. His research seeks to explore the theoretical and experimental dimensions of soft robotics, aiming to create systems that are both highly functional and user-friendly, particularly in the context of prosthetics.
