The University of Hong Kong (HKU) is set to welcome one of the most distinguished mathematicians of our time, Professor Ngô Bảo Châu, a Fields Medalist recognized globally for his revolutionary work in pure mathematics. Beginning June 2026, Professor Ngô will join the Department of Mathematics under HKU’s Faculty of Science, marking a significant milestone in the university’s commitment to fostering cutting-edge research and intellectual leadership on the world stage.
