It follows Mrs. Liu, an award-winning elementary school class teacher in China, who initially struggled under the weight of high expectations and a challenging student case. Mrs. Liu’s journey through guided core reflection illustrates a transformative process in which she moves from frustration and self-blame to a compassionate, ecologically informed perspective that acknowledges the interconnectedness of teacher, student, and broader social context.
