From Outsider to Key Player? The Emerging Role of Polyphenols in Health

The impact of polyphenols on human health will be a focal point of discussion this coming September in Milan. The question remains: Will polyphenols emerge as an outsider or a key player in the realm of human health? Recent publications have urged us to reconsider the role of polyphenols, particularly in light of compelling evidence.

Studies have highlighted their potential in modulating intestinal permeability, influencing gut barrier function, and strengthening the gut-brain connection, impacting mental health and cognitive function. Furthermore, the senolytic and anti-aging properties of polyphenols have sparked significant interest, suggesting they may be more integral to our health than previously thought.
