In recent years, the significance of integrating historical knowledge into architectural design education has gained increasing attention among educators and practitioners alike. As the field continues to evolve, it is clear that the integration of history into architectural design education is not merely a luxury but a necessity. Future architects will need to navigate a landscape shaped by both historical precedents and emerging global challenges, from climate change to social equity. By embedding historical knowledge within the design process, architectural education can equip students with the critical thinking skills required to approach these complexities rigorously.

The time has come to reevaluate pedagogical approaches, breaking down the silos that separate design from history.
