The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) is pleased to announce its partnership with the Chinese Medical Association (CMA) to publish Journal of Bio-X Research as a Science Partner Journal.

The Journal of Bio-X Research (Bio-X), launched in 2018, publishes high-quality interdisciplinary studies that advance the understanding and treatment of disease and promote cross-collaboration between life sciences and other disciplines. The open access journal is led by Editor-in-Chief Lin He of the Bio-X Institutes of Shanghai Jiao Tong University (China).

As a member of the Science Partner Journal program, Bio-X will publish on a continuous basis under a Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY). The submission site for the journal remains open and a new journal website was launched in April 2024. AAAS will publish articles for Bio-X on a continuous basis beginning this year.

“I am thrilled to partner with AAAS on this exciting launch of Journal of Bio-X Research,” said Professor Yongyong Shi, Executive Editor of Journal of Bio-X Research. “This endeavor marks a significant step forward in advancing interdisciplinary research at the nexus of cutting-edge technologies and bio-omics investigations. As a premier organization dedicated to promoting innovation and collaboration in scientific publishing, we are confident that Journal of Bio-X Research will provide a valuable platform for researchers to share their groundbreaking discoveries, supported by AAAS and Bio-X Institutes of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. We firmly believe that the journal will push the boundaries of multidisciplinary biological research and uphold a high standard of science journalism.”

AAAS and CMA are committed to a seamless transition for authors, editors, and readers as the journal completes its transition to the Science Partner Journal program.

“We look forward to publishing Journal of Bio-X Research, which embodies AAAS’s mission to advance science for the benefit of all by bringing together researchers across different disciplines to collaborate in developing new approaches to treating disease and improving health,” said Bill Moran, Publisher of the Science family of journals at AAAS. “We are pleased that the Chinese Medical Association has chosen the AAAS Science Partner Journal program as its new publishing partner for Journal of Bio-X Research.”

Bio-X is currently indexed in Directory of Open Access Journals, Embase, and Scopus. Topics of interest to the journal include but are not limited to interdisciplinary studies that apply expertise in biology, clinical and basic medicine, physical science, computer science, engineering and other fields to advance the understanding and treatment of disease. About Science Partner Journals

New titles participating in the Science Partner Journal program launch on a regular basis and participation in the program is kept to English-language publications. AAAS is actively seeking new partners across scientific disciplines. Organizations participating in the Science Partner Journal program are editorially independent and responsible for the content published in each journal. Partner organizations are responsible for establishing editorial boards committed to best practices in peer review and author service.
