This garden will be created on the grass square around the Gamak Pond. It aims to implement the common objectives of sustainable agriculture, which includes the production of chemical free residue foods. The garden, which also has the shape of a whale, will be used to offer educational programs for sustainable agriculture and carbon neutrality.

“We have been striving to create a space where UNIST members and Ulsan citizens can enjoy together,” said President Lee. “In addition to opening up the multi-purpose cultural space in August 2022, we hope this garden will be another go-to place for those who visits UNIST.”

Meanwhile, UNIST is planning to showcase its garden to its members and Ulsan citizens in June 2023.
