Despite the advancements in antidepressant treatments, a significant challenge remains: nearly one-third of patients fail to respond adequately to their initial prescribed medication. This conundrum underscores an urgent need for objective biomarkers and predictive tools, which could revolutionize personalized medicine approaches for the management of depression. In a groundbreaking study published in <em>General Psychiatry</em>, researchers have explored the therapeutic potential of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), specifically the Yueju Pill, and illuminated key brain network predictors that forecast treatment efficacy based on advanced neuroimaging data.</p>
