New findings now illuminate a complex interplay between childhood maltreatment, inflammatory responses, and the development of NSSI in depressed adolescents, providing crucial insights that could shape future therapeutic interventions.</p>
<p>Major depressive disorder in adolescents is a multifaceted psychiatric condition characterized by persistent feelings of sadness, loss of interest, and cognitive dysfunction.
