St. Petersburg at the VI China (Shanghai) International Technology Fair

Strengthening the Russian-Chinese partnership in the frameworks of the globalization processes is strategically important for the economic stability and sustainable development of both countries in the international arena. The Russian city St. Petersburg is an active participant and organizer of the events aimed at the development of the relations with the People's Republic of China.

In 2018, the 30th anniversary is celebrated from the moment when St. Petersburg and Shanghai became sister cities. In this regard, within the framework of the 'One Belt – One Road' initiative', the Government of St. Petersburg in cooperation with Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University (SPbPU) will display a joint panel at the VI China (Shanghai) International Technology Fair (CSITF), which will be held on April 1 9 to 21.

The CSITF exhibition is a professional event where nearly 1,000 technological and trade companies from 24 countries present their innovative developments. Due to the support of the Representative Office of Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University in Shanghai and the business incubator Pu E, the Russian panel will demonstrate the scientific and educational projects, the up-to-date developments in the automotive industry, electronics, IT technologies and medicine aimed at formation of new markets for innovative products. Among them, brackets and details of the rear suspension of the car, designed on the basis of topology optimization-driven design, developments in the field of cyber-security and object detection system, terahertz radiation devices, mobile ultrasound device 'Uzimobile' and much more. Also, the representatives of St. Petersburg plan to participate in the business program at the exhibition in Shanghai.

Peter the Great St.Petersburg Polytechnic University participating in Project 5-100 aimed at improving the competitiveness of the leading universities of the Russian Federation among the world's leading research and education centers. As part of this Academic Excellence Initiative, multidisciplinary scientific research, world class technology and knowledge are created.

The University actively develops conceptual framework for the mapping of management and organization of business processes for the entire lifecycle of a product in all industries, dramatically increasing the efficiency of design, preproduction and production stages, including the solutions for highly customized products.
