RDA is pleased to announce it has opened its Call for Session Submissions for its 8th Plenary Meeting, to be held in Denver, Colorado from September 15-17, 2016, as part of International Data Week (IDW).
RDA session submissions will constitute the breakout meeting portion of the Meeting and will play an important role its success. The sessions provide participants an opportunity for discussion, sharing experiences and best practices, and establishing action plans.
To submit a session submission proposal, an individual must be a member of RDA and a member of a Working or Interest Group. For those not yet a member, information on joining RDA is located at https://www.rd-alliance.org/get-involved/individual-membership.html.
Although RDA Working and Interest Group members are free to choose the format and work plan for their sessions, RDA strongly encourages a working meeting structure. Groups are also invited to submit joint meeting applications to explore potential synergies with other groups.
If there is a topic not currently addressed in an RDA Working or Interest Group, RDA encourages submission of a Birds of a Feather session proposal, which is aimed at building support for that topic and exploring the potential to create an RDA Working or Interest Group in the future.
The Call for Submissions ends on May 29, 2016.
