October issues of American Psychiatric Association journals cover opioid and cannabis use disorders, suicide prevention, treatment in prison and more

The October issues of two of the American Psychiatric Association’s journals, The American Journal of Psychiatry and Psychiatric Services are available online. The latest issue of the American Journal of Psychotherapy is also online now.

The October issue of The American Journal of Psychiatry focuses on diagnosis and treatment of opioid use disorder and cannabis use disorder. Featured research includes:
 

  • Opioid Use Disorder: Pernicious and Persistent.
  • Diagnosing Prescription Opioid Use Disorder in Patients Using Prescribed Opioids for Chronic Pain.
  • Flexible Buprenorphine/Naloxone Model of Care for Reducing Opioid Use in Individuals With Prescription-Type Opioid Use Disorder: An Open-Label, Pragmatic, Noninferiority Randomized Controlled Trial.
  • Impact of COVID-19 Telehealth Policy Changes on Buprenorphine Treatment for Opioid Use Disorder.
