On March 13, 2016, entomologists, public-health officials, and others will meet in the city of Maceió in Brazil in order to determine ways of managing the Aedes aegypti mosquito, which is the primary vector of Zika virus, chikungunya, dengue, and yellow fever.

The meeting will be convened by the Entomological Society of America (ESA) and the Sociedade Entomológica do Brasil (SEB), and will take place at the Ruth Cardoso Cultural and Exhibition Center, in Maceió, Alagoas, Brazil.
