Marijuana poisonings in children after legalization of recreational use in Canada

What The Study Did: This study found significant increases in the frequency and severity of emergency department visits due to cannabis exposures among children after the legalization of recreational cannabis in Canada, with the findings suggesting that the introduction of legal edible cannabis products being a key factor.

Authors: Daniel T. Myran, M.D., M.P.H., of the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute in Ottawa, Canada, is the corresponding author.
