The ebook entitled, Information for Mental Health Providers Working with Children Who Have Chronic Illnesses, provides valuable information for professionals working with children who have chronic medical conditions. The book is especially geared toward those who provide any type of counseling and educational services for children with chronic illnesses.

The book was developed by Laura Nabors, Ph.D., in the School of Human Services, in the College of Education, Criminal Justice and Human Services, at the University of Cincinnati. She has twenty years of expertise providing counseling to children and their families and blends a unique perspective, with clinical experience and research, in the ebook. You can buy the book or individual chapters online. The content of the book focuses on ways to assist children with chronic illnesses at school, in their communities, and with working through mental health concerns.

There are chapters for helping families, and siblings, adjust when their brother or sister has a chronic illness. This book is a great refresher for experienced clinicians and a unique training tool for new clinicians and students.
