The first phase of the cooperation has already ensued. JetBrains is participating in the current Computer Science BSc Program at the University with over 80 students enrolled this year. Starting next year through 2032, the number is expected to reach 200.

“JetBrains has always supported the software development community and we employ some of the best professionals in that space. We are excited to join forces with Constructor University to help them guide and educate the next generation of developers the world so desperately needs,” said Andrey Ivanov, Senior Vice President of Investments, Research and Education at JetBrains.

“This collaboration will allow us to enhance our education offer and to develop a new collaborative flagship model, which will establish a unique pool of competences, together with the leading industrial player in advanced software development research,” said Fabio Pammolli, President of Constructor University.

In the joint educational program, the institutions aim to create a launch site for top performing students. The Joint Research Labs at the Institute of Advanced Studies on Constructor University campus will drive the future of software development by virtue of industry-oriented education and training. With this new development, Constructor University, as a part of the Constructor Group, will sharpen its profile in Computer Science and Software Engineering research and education, and will dramatically increase student numbers in the short and long term.
